SKYCITY's pride in Rainbow Ticks

SKYCITY is proud of its reputation as a business that reflects the diverse community we live and work in.

So it’s a fantastic achievement that not only has SKYCITY Auckland received Rainbow Tick certification for the third year in a row, but for the first time, SKYCITY’s Hamilton and Queenstown businesses have also been awarded the Rainbow Tick.

The Rainbow Tick recognises SKYCITY as an employer that encourages and affirms lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, takatāpui and intersex (LGBTTI) staff.

What’s really heartening is that in awarding the tick again, Rainbow Tick noted SKYCITY had demonstrated improvement in a number of areas over the last year. The award also acknowledges the power of SKYCITY to reflect national sentiment by lighting up the Sky Tower in commemoration of the Orlando massacre.

The Rainbow Tick is recognition that SKYCITY places huge value on having staff that reflect the diversity of our community and the customers we welcome every day. SKYCITY fosters an inclusive workplace culture, encouraging diversity in the workplace and embracing people from different backgrounds, regardless of their orientation.
