SKYCITY restaurant to serve up a taste of old Shanghai
Huami set to open on Federal St
SKYCITY is set to unveil a contemporary, yet authentic Chinese restaurant, Huami, in its award-winning Federal Street dining precinct.
The new restaurant and bar will feature world-class design, unique ambience and traditional cuisine with a modern twist when it opens its doors in July.
Graeme Stephens, SKYCITY Entertainment Group CEO, is looking forward to introducing Aucklanders and visitors to the latest addition to the Federal Street dining precinct.
“Federal Street brings together different cuisines from some of Auckland’s most-loved restaurants. We saw an exciting opportunity to build on this and create a premium yet authentic Chinese restaurant we hope the public will love,’’ Mr Stephens says.
SKYCITY has collaborated with a group of experts to bring Huami to fruition and deliver a world-class dining experience. Renowned Kiwi chef Nic Watt of Masu on Federal Street, executive chef Jeff Tan who has had an esteemed career at some of the finest restaurants in Asia and the Middle East. Restaurant manager Kai Zhao will lead the front of house team with the extensive wine list curated by New Zealand’s only Master Sommelier, Cameron Douglas.
Huami’s menu will highlight the best cuisine from regional provinces across China including Canton, Sichuan, Huaiyang and Beijing, and will be made with fresh seasonal New Zealand produce.
Huami will be open for lunch and dinner from Saturday 1 July 2017. Further information about Huami will be announced in the coming weeks.
