Continued investment in SKYCITY Hamilton helps drive record results

Recent investment in SKYCITY Hamilton’s food and beverage, gaming and entertainment offering is showing positive results, with the property delivering record results for the first half of the 2017 financial year, with revenue up 7.3 percent on the previous corresponding period.

The figures were announced during SKYCITY Entertainment Group’s Interim Results today, with SKYCITY Hamilton’s momentum continuing.  As well as reporting increased revenue up to $29.6 million, EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation) at the property was up 15.1 percent to $13.4 million.

SKYCITY Hamilton General Manager Michelle Baillie says the results are very promising and the medium-long term outlook for the property looks very positive.

“The focus we have put in to continually improving our offering to customers through new gaming products, exciting promotions and friendly service, alongside the development of our City Co-Op dining precinct and opening our brand new Bowl and Social bowling and entertainment venue, have been well received by our local community and have helped increase visitation,” says Ms Baillie.

“This is a very exciting time for SKYCITY Hamilton with so many developments at the property – we’re really delivering on our promise to be Hamilton’s premier entertainment destination, and we’re looking forward to another strong six months ahead,” says Ms Baillie.
